Insurance note: Coverage depends on your plan, state, visit type, benefits, and eligibility. Checking coverage does not guarantee approval or payment. Your insurance plan or coverage partner makes the final eligibility decision.

We are happy to share an update for families looking for insurance-covered lactation support in Orlando, St. Cloud, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, and across Central Florida. The Breastfeeding Cafe now has a Wildflower Health pathway for eligible families with select insurance plans, including Cigna and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.

If you have Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, start with Wildflower Health. If you have another commercial insurance plan, The Lactation Network may be the better place to begin. If neither pathway fits your plan, self-pay visits and superbills may still be options.

Start here if you have Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

Wildflower Health currently supports eligible members through select plans. If your insurance card says Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, use our Wildflower link first so eligibility can be checked through the right pathway.

When The Lactation Network may be the better starting point

The Lactation Network, often called TLN, works with several commercial insurance plans. If you do not have Cigna or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, TLN may be the best first step for checking whether lactation visits can be covered.

What if insurance does not cover the visit?

Some families choose to self-pay for lactation care. If you pay directly, we can provide a superbill on request. A superbill is a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Reimbursement is not guaranteed, because each plan handles out-of-network benefits differently. Still, a superbill can be worth asking about if your plan does not approve coverage through Wildflower Health or The Lactation Network.

How to decide where to click first

  • Cigna: Start with Wildflower Health.
  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield: Start with Wildflower Health.
  • Other commercial insurance: Start with The Lactation Network.
  • Not sure: You can check both pathways, or contact us and we can help you think through the next step.
  • Self-pay or out-of-network: Review pricing and ask about a superbill.
